Brooklyn Bridge Trail to Brooklyn State

We took a bus from our apartment in Ave 1 to Chinatown, from where we started our trail to cross the Brooklyn Bridge on foot. After meandering our way, we finally found the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge on Manhattan side. The door to the pedestrain path of the bridge is right under the bridge.

At the highest level of the bridge, halfway between Manhattan and Brooklyn.

It was 11am. Next to clock in the picture is Manhattan Bridge.

Our moment of elation, having made our way from Chinatown, in the blistering summer heat and standing at the highest level of the bridge. The bridge was teemed with lots of walkers - all wearing whatever they could to beat the bright sunshine. The view at this point was awesome. Though it was bright and sunny, it was breezy when we started our ascent up the bridge.
