The Singapore Garden Festival Mesmerises
I was enchanted by exquisite floral designs and lovely landscaped gardens. The Sp Garden Festival is the only garden show in the world that brings together international landscape and garden designers, florists and horticulturalists under one roof.
I saw world renowned multi-award winning designers showcased their works in Singapore for the first time ever. What was dazzling were the many colourful cut-flower masterpieces by students from Nanyang Primary as well as stunning garden designs by some secondary schools such as Assumption English School.
There were also educational and recreational gardening activities that cater to the young and old, serious gardeners as well as hobbyists. The place was also teemed with excited photographers. This festival offered enormous learning opportunities and learning resources in scope beyond horticultural to include photography, recycling, care for the environment, use of plants for cooking and health care and aesthetic appeal (eg using flowers/plants as wall pieces and for enhancing the balcony and interiors of flats).
